Alison Brie and Aubrey Plaza team up for new comedy movie
Alison Brie and Aubrey Plaza are re-teaming for a new comedy movie, Spin Me Round, Deadline reports.
Brie plays the manager of a wee California townsfolk dealership of an European country chain restaurant, WHO wins an each-expenses-paid trip to the company's headquarters in Florence, Italy, and a chance to fill the eating place chain's wealthy and charismatic proprietor (Alessandro Nivola). Along with a unpaired radical of topical anaestheti American franchise managers, she finds a far different venture than the romantic fantasy she had unreal.
Lil Rel Howery, Molly Shannon, and Fred Armisen also star, and Jeff Baena will straight-from-the-shoulder from a script he co-wrote with Brie. Indie royalty Mark and Jay Duplass are on board as producers.
Both actors are renowned for their roles on beloved sitcoms – Brie for her character in Community and Plaza in Rosa Parks and Refreshment – but the pair have worked together earlier. They CO-starred in the 2020 festive rom-com Happiest Season, as well A 2017's The Fiddling Hours, which Baena also wrote and oriented.
Brie and Baena have collaborated several times, most freshly on Netflix's Horse Girl – they co-wrote and produced the psychological dramatic play together, and Brie played the conduce role. She was also recently seen in the Oscar-winning Promising Young Woman and in Dave El Caudillo's directorial debut The Annuity in advance.
Plaza, meanwhile, recently starred in the thriller Black Contain and she's presently cinematography Five Eyes, an upcoming descry movie from Guy cable Ritchie, aboard Jason Statham and Hugh Grant.
